Where is Stanford Hills Estate located?
Stanford Hills Estate is set on Weltevrede Farm near the village of Stanford in the Overberg, Western Cape—about a scenic 1.5‑hour drive from Cape Town along the Cape Whale Coast. The estate overlooks the Klein River Mountains and is surrounded by fynbos, vineyards, and olive groves.
What makes Stanford Hills Estate unique?
It’s a family‑owned boutique wine estate offering cool climate wines, family‑friendly and pet‑friendly self catering accommodation (Manor House, cottages, AfriCamps glamping, and Vineyard Villas), a destination (on site) Portuguese restaurant (Casa Cello), daily wine tasting at The Tasting Room, and nature‑forward activities like hiking, horseback trails, and birdwatching—minutes from the village of Stanford and close to Hermanus whale watching.
Is Stanford Hills Estate family‑friendly and pet‑friendly?
Yes. All accommodation options are family‑friendly and pet‑friendly, pet fee applicable R250 with space to roam, a relaxed farm setting, and nature‑based activities. all units feature private wood‑fired hot tubs.

What accommodation options are available?
Four main options:Â No breakage deposit.
- The Manor House (sleeps 12): Historic farmhouse with private patio, wood‑fired hot tub, braai, swimming pool, and indoor fireplace—ideal for family gatherings and group stays.
- The Family Cottages (sleeps 5): Cozy historic self‑catering cottages, with private wood‑fired hot tubs and outdoor braai.
- AfriCamps luxury glamping (10 tents; sleeps 5 per tent): Open‑plan lounge, kitchen, dining, fireplace, air‑con, deck with loungers, picnic bench and braai; each with private wood‑fired hot tubs.
- Vineyard Villas (Villa1 sleeps 2 and Villa2 sleeps 4): Elegant villas with furnished private patios, braai facilities, semi-detached unit and wood‑fired hot tubs.

Do the units have hot tubs and braai facilities?
All our units have private wood‑fired hot tubs. The Manor House, Cottages, Villas, and AfriCamps tents all offer braai facilities and outdoor furnished decks/patios.
Is breakfast available?
Breakfast baskets or braai baskets are available, on request, orders need to be placed 24 hours in advance , adding convenience to your self‑catering stay.

Is there Wi‑Fi and air conditioning?
AfriCamps tents include air‑conditioning and wifi. Ceiling fans and wifi are available at our solid structured accommodation.
Are there swimming facilities?
The Manor House includes a private swimming pool. Guests can also enjoy farm dams and nature‑based relaxation on the estate.
Is firewood provided for braais and hot tubs?
While our accommodations are equipped with braai facilities and many feature wood-fired hot tubs, firewood is not automatically provided in the units. However, for your convenience, firewood is readily available for purchase at reception during operating hours. We recommend collecting it upon arrival to ensure you have a cozy and enjoyable stay.

Do you host weddings and events?
Yes—our Overberg events venue offers Tree avenue for wedding ceremonies, sweeping vineyard views, manicured lawns, and mountain backdrops. Casa Cello provides custom menus for intimate celebrations or larger weddings.

Is on‑site accommodation available for event guests?
Yes. The Manor House is part of the wedding package. Our Cottages, Vineyard Villas, and AfriCamps offer convenient on‑site accommodation for your wedding party and guests. Stanford Hills can accommodate a total of 78 guests of various ages.

They bloom year round with exception to Pin Cushions that bloom from July till November.
