Events at Stanford Hills

The majestic Klein River Mountain Range, a lush green lawn and blankets of rolling vineyards bursting with the promise of the Cape’s favourite tipple, ensure that Stanford Hills Estate is the perfect venue for celebrations. Casa Cello is the Estate’s restaurant and the chef will create a menu that will be as gastronomically pleasing as the setting is.

Whether it be a small intimate occasion for your nearest and dearest, or a large event that boasts a guest list totalling the headcount of a small town, Stanford Hills Estate will make a lasting impression on your guests and be a memorable backdrop for your special event.

Stanford Hills Accommodation also offers visitors a choice of convenient accommodation options to complement your visit to the Estate.

Regular festivals that have become a gathering spot for people who put life and love first on their list of things to do are held at Stanford Hills Estate and there is ample parking for large events. The venue is geared to cater for 120 people for sit-down functions and 1,200 for festivals. Spoegwolf is coming to Stanford in December – bringing a bakkie full of braai essentials and hearts full of Rock and Roll. Our great friends Herman Kleinhans and Deon Meiring are joining, with voices that will hit you like wine. Join us for a Sunday afternoon show to kick off the summer holiday.

The Tasting Room at Stanford Hills Estate offers an inviting setting for wine tasting, beloved by both locals and visitors.

Stanford, a relatively new wine production area, shows tremendous potential due to its proximity to the coast, which provides cool sea breezes during hotter months, allowing grapes to ripen optimally. Winemaker Peter Kastner believes that great wine starts in the vineyard, crediting the region’s excellent soil and climate for the quality of the Estate wines. All grapes are grown on the farm and handpicked to ensure the best quality for annual wine production.

Wine tasting is offered daily at The Tasting Room, where you can enjoy our wines alongside breakfast, platters, and a selection of lunch options that change daily. The somewhat rustic cellar, located in one half of an airplane hangar on the farm, embodies Peter’s philosophy of minimal interference during the winemaking process, allowing the grapes to express their individual identity.

A Glamping Adventure

Indulge in the luxury of nature with our AfriCamps Glamping Tents, strategically positioned on the foothills of the Klein River Mountain range overlooking a tranquil dam and the scenic Stanford Valley. Boasting 10 lavish tents, each unit offers a spacious open-plan lounge area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining space complemented by a cozy fireplace, making it an ideal retreat for families or groups of up to five. With two separate bedrooms featuring a queen-sized bed and an additional single bunk, along with a shared en suite bathroom, comfort is ensured during your stay. Enjoy the convenience of air conditioning, a private wooden deck with loungers and braai facilities, and retractable front canvas flaps that seamlessly integrate the indoor and outdoor living spaces.
